Okay, great. Where is the faceplate? And thought I love my Xbox 360 faceplates, they don't add a whole new level of anything to my gameplay. My PS3 is sitting here, and I wouldn't mind putting a new faceplate on it.

Joe, why would GameStop open when the 6 people who have preordered are asleep in bed? They are not going to stay open for four hours and have to pay employees for six people who are already committed to the console.
GameStop called me three days ago to confirm my reservation and ask when I would pick it up.
While the launch was jacked up, your point is nil. The Xbox 360 had the same deal.
I walked into EBGames at approximately 10:45 a.m. I asked for my PS3. About five people in the store asked me to sell it to them. Like an idiot, I did not. Now it is under my television.
I have my PS3 and Resistance is not even up to first gen on Xbox 360. 40 person multi-player is ridiculous. Hey, I was impressed with the lag-freeness, but it was not fun. Gears chainsaws this game in half. There are little-to-no textures. The AI is crap. Remember those individual moving leaves we would see in PS3 games? Not so much. I am pissed that I opened the box and that I didn't sell this thing.
I cannot believe I have to wait until the middle of next year to get one ...
But I have been sitting around for 30 minutes waiting for it to update. Someone shoot me.
I thought the drive home was bad...the anticipation to play....but this update is KILLING me. I guess I can always play Gears while I wait.
They are closed because there are less thsn 20 consoles per store. The only way to get one was to preorder, so all of the Gamestops and EBGames are opening at the normal time.
Finance dictated that it wasn't worth paying people overtime to stay open until midnight and after for, in some cases, 6 people.
It was the same story for the 360.
So what GAMER has both the 360 AND the PS3 and can clear this up for us? I can't pick up my PS3 for another 9 hours and 20 minutes... I will get to have my opinion... which is AWESOME!

Really... you wouldn't take the hottest item on the market for free right now? Your life is really that good right now? I am an avid 360 gamer and soon to be PS3 owner, but that level of ridiculousness is well, ridiculous. You wouldn't even take it and sell it? Really?

I bought my first DVD player in 1997 for $400.00. I was a senior in college. I bought my NEXT DVD player before the PS2 came out for $20.00. DVDs were on the cusp of breaking through when PS2 came around. I am not denying it helped, but it sure as hell didn't MAKE DVD.

Why are you concerned about people selling them on Ebay? If you are not in line right now or haven't pre-ordered, you aren't getting one anway. Or are you saying you are concerned because you have a personal stake in the company?

I distinctly remember Sony saying that they would include everything that would be required to play wirelessly with their controllers. They lambasted the Wireless Xbox 360 controller for only coming with standard AA batteries as opposed to the play and charge kit. There is that whole other OPTION thing. There is no option here. Bladestar, I got in line and bought the PS3 without too much thought of what games I would play. I just wanted to be able to say that I had one. I just picked up Resistance: Fall of Man for the pure reason that it is something I don't have on the 360.
I guess you can't handle reality.
EBGames just called and said that I was confirmed my PS3 on Friday. The iffy part was then he asked me if I wanted the 20 GB or the 60 GB version. I already paid in full for the 60 GB version. I would have thought he would known that. Anyway, I am excited to be getting this thing even if I am only playing R:FOM.

Maybe it was a problem playing Gears of War before I played Resistance. But when I shoot an alien with an M4 Carbine, expect there to be SOME sort of reaction other than shooting me. Like, ow, I was hit by a bullet, oooh, blood or some other indicator that the round hit, oh, I stumbled a bit when hit by lead.
The lack of textures is obvious, and with the above mentioned Me shooting, nothing really happening to bad guy, it feels like crap. I will continue playing it and hop...
